Everything you think it will be, and more.

Not enough use of the words "mother-fucking."

Rediculous.

Yeah, I posted this on MySpace too [17 May 2006|09:31am]
As you may know, the Brewers are playing a game this Saturday at 6:05 pm.(against the Twins)
As you may also know, I am graduating on Sunday. (after a long 5 years)
Thus, I would love it if all of you would join me for tailgating and the Brewer's game on Saturday.
My parents are coming so they'll bring some beers and some food to the tailgating.
Sparks and game tickets are up to you. I think we are talking about getting $12 tickets, but nothing has been decided foresure.
Don't wanna go to the game, why not just come hang out beforehand.
If you are interested, let me know so we can work the details out.
I am a fun girl and you are all proud of me for finally graduating, so come!

p.s. Hopefully the game will be followed by a pool party at my parent's hotel!

... [02 Apr 2006|09:43pm]
I have been absent from the world that is livejournal for a really long time. I still read your entries though, so it's kinda like I'm stalking you all.

Anyways, here's a really lame update of useless things...
I just went to see "The Godfather of Green Bay" and while it wasn't horrible, it really wasn't all that good. Also, there is not one single mention of Timebomb Tom, and really for a movie titled "The Godfather of Green Bay," that's slightly upsetting and makes almost no sense. Rent it when it comes to dvd, don't waste your hard earned dollars at the theater.

Tomorrow, as everyone knows, is Opening Day. I have been back and forth about going for a month, but at this point I have a ticket and am signed up to go. Only problem is that it's going to rain ALL day. This isn't very conducive to tailgating, so I hope that Corey has a back up plan.

Other than that, not much to report. Friday was a fun night, it was nice to just hang out, not at a bar, with a lot of good people who I am happy to say are my friends. Also, I am pretty sure that Vold drank 6 Sparks Plus. I haven't heard anything, so I'll assume that his heart, but some freak chance, didn't explode.

Dear everyone who didn't come camping with us,
Sucks to be you. Alyssa picked a great campground, the weather ruled (except when it rained the WHOLE time we were setting up our tent), the company was great.
Maybe you can come next time. (Mike Olen, this means YOU).
Love,
Amber

Dear everyone who did come camping this weekend,
Thanks, you rule!
Love,

[18 Aug 2005|11:50am]
I forgot to bring up the following things from this past week.

1. We went to see Ratt, Cinderella, and Quiet Riot at State Fair last Saturday. For all of you who didn't go, BIG MISTAKE.
Quiet Riot ruled, they played like 5 songs and they were all hits. The lady behind me kept grabbing my hands and throwing them in the air. She proceeded to ask "do you even know who Quiet Riot is?" Needless to say, she didn't make it for the rest of the show. After they played I went out to get drinks. On my way back in I noticed a mob of people and realized it was a Quiet Riot meet and greet. Obviously I snuck in the front of the line and since I had nothing for them to sign, took my own pictures with them. (Pictures to come)
I was mostly excited about Ratt until I found out that my arch nemesis, John Corabi would be singing for them. He sucked so effin much. Dear John Corabi, I am sorry that you couldn't cut it in Motley Crue, but dude, maybe you should take a clue and start singing for bands like Limp Bizkit.
Cinderella kicked my ass. I heart them.
(We missed Firehouse...they probably only played those 2 songs anyhow)

2. Last week we went to the Pub for the first time and that also ruled. There was Black Flag on the jukebox, free pitcher, cheap drinks, and cake. The crowd was very random but awesome none the less. Since it is only a block away, I am going there ALL THE TIME.

Don't forget aout Noah's Ark this Saturday night and Sunday.
2 fun shows to go to tonight? Anyone doing that? Wanna come over beforehand for cocktails?

This weekend [17 Aug 2005|12:16pm]
Is anyone interested in going to the Dells this weekend?
I would really like to go to Noah's Ark and Robot World. So here's what I am thinking:
Drive there Saturday morning/early afternoon, find a campsite and then go to Robot World (mostly to see what it's like now that it's the "future" and we still don't have robots) Then Sunday go to Noah's Ark and drive home all tired and wet?
Does anyone want to go? Would that work? Would you prefer something else? Maybe Noah's Ark on Saturday? Let me know. You can post here or call me.
Seriously.

Yes they are old, yes they still rock!
Mick can move and Nikki isn't really fat. Vince, on the other hand...

When Nikki walked over near us, Tim proclaimed "My girlfriend's boyfriend" He's right!

Second entry in less than an hour [28 Jul 2005|11:21am]
Tomorrow, Friday, Tim and I are heading to Kettle Moraine ALL day to go swimming. I promise that I will not ditch out this time. We're gonna bring food and drinks and maybe some pool toys, so if anyone is interested, let me know. We are planning on a whole day kind of thing, maybe leaving by like 12 or 1. Call in sick to work and join us, we have room in our car!

Charlie... [20 Jul 2005|10:56am]
We went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night...
I LOVE the original and have seen it so many times that I could probably recite the lines, so I was REALLY excited about seeing my boyfriend (Johnny Depp) in Tim Burton's version.
It was GREAT. It was totally different fromt he original, but not in a bad way. It's not better, it's not worse. The movie looks amazing (as you might expect from Tim Burton), and everything you've heard about Johnny Depp seeming a little like Michael Jackson is TOTALLY true. Charlie is adorable and at first Grandpa Joe bugged me, but I have decided that I am ok with him now.
What's really cool is that this version offers much more background about Willie Wonka, and really makes you like him even though he creeps you out a little.
See it! And if you are smart, see it at the Rosebud, because as I discovered, movies go better on red velvet couches and with a pitcher of Hacker Pschor and popcorn.

Get Ready For A Long One... [18 Jul 2005|12:10pm]
#1 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYSSA!!

#2 My Weekend:
Friday: I didn't work because I thought I was going swimming. Turns out I couldn't go swimming because everyone wanted to wait until later, but I had things that HAD to be done (mainly pick my car up from getting a really expensive fix). So we went to Appleton with my hyper kittie (Sabbath) in tow (she's too bored staying home alone for a weekend). Turns out that not only was my car not done getting fixed, but my cat was really really sick (she thinks she lives outside). So Friday night was spent not watching th Riverboat Gamblers as was planned, but instead trying to keep my mom's very territorial cat away from Sabbath and then in the animal emergency room. 4 hours and almost $400 later, it looks like she will live, but seriously.
Saturday: We woke up at 6am and drove to the U.P. We were greeted with beers upon arrival, and soon we were off to an amazing beach on Lake Superior where we ate, drank, swam, kayaked, and got burned all day. That night we went to a cookout at this house where a 60 yr old gay hippie couple lives (I wonder how well that works out in the U.P.) Then Tim and I shared an awesome ice cream cone.
Sunday: Woke up to an awesome breakfast, and headed to the lake. The activites were prety much the same as the day before, but this was a house and a different lake, and a sauna, and a diving board. We had to cut it short, as we had a 6 hour drive ahead of us. We ended up in Appleton around 8, where my mom was just making dinner. I found out my cat was doing much better because of her medicine, and my mom gave me SO MUCH cat nip, that she grew and dried for my cats. The late nite drive (in MY car, because it is FINALLY fixed) from Appleton to Milwaukee was interesting to say the least. Sabbath climbed all over the car the WHOLE drive, I had sing alongs to keep myself awake, and early on I found that 105.7 WOZZ was playing the 1989 Moscow Peace Festival. The played songs from sets of Cinderella, Bon Jovi, and the Scorpions before the station finally cut out. I realized something...I LOVE THE SCORPIONS. I don't listen to them very often, but damn it, I should.

#3 We move 2 weeks from today, I can not wait!

#4 Work today, swimming soon?

Summerfest and the likes... [08 Jul 2005|03:34pm]
I said I wouldn;t do it. I swore up and down that this year I was NOT going to Summerfest. Like everything else I say, it was a total lie.
We went yesterday to see the Pixies for (almost) free. They rule. Granted, it was at the Marcus and we only snuck up as far as mid-bleacher, but regardless, I saw the Pixies, finally. What's sad is that well over half of the crowd seemed to care less that they got to watch the PIXIES. Dorks.
Weezer started their set on a decent note. Then it was all down-hill so we bolted before we were made to sit through that damn "Beverly Hills" song. (My roommate does a way better job of singing it anyways.)
We ran our asses off all the way over to the Mountain Dew stage to watch Skid Row. Say what you will about Sebastian Bach not being in that band anymore, but I promise that their set ruled my life. The guy who is singing now (I think his name is Rachel Bolan or something) has the best sream EVER. I wish I had his voice. Oh yeah, and he is totally sexy!
Beyond that. I drank WAY too many wine coolers. I got to see Josh, Deena, Phil, and Crystal.

Time for weekend!

Weekend 5000 [13 Jun 2005|01:58pm]
In no paticular order, this weekend ruled because...
-Tornavalanche (the band and the dudes)
-Iowa City
-Wichita
-A total of (nearly) 1600 miles.
-Megan and Alyssa
-Awesome parents
-Nathan making musical note coasters meow.
-Shadow Government
-"Wisconsin...We don't drive like pussies."
-Tight Phantomz (and their 3 wheeled van)
-Alarm clock Zach
-5 car caravan.
-A posse of no fewer than 20 people.
-Switching lanes
-Alyssa's sexy voice
-Realizing that it is "get er done" is actually spelled "get R done" making it, and all of the paraphanalia available at Kum and Go much funnier.
-Other stuff I can't remember cause I am too tired.

Thanks Dan, Whitney, Joel, Bob, and Zach! You are the best.
